Choose Independence in Middlesbrough
Telecare Choice protects the elderly and disabled across the United Kingdom, including those living in Middlesbrough. We understand that there are risks for the elderly at home, whether they live with their partner or alone.
But rather than having to move into a home or residential care, we believe that a Telecare Alarm is a better, safer, more affordable option for everybody.
Simplicity is at the heart of our life-saving system, which allows the elderly to regain their confidence at home. One push of a button will connect them to a helpful 24-hour monitoring centre.
What is Telecare?
Telecare Alarm Base Unit
We understand that speed and simplicity is really important in our industry. The elderly may find it a little harder to understand modern technology, which is why our system is easy to use.
The base unit can be plugged in the alarm user within minutes. Simply plug it into the mains and the existing telephone socket, and connect the telephone to the back of it using the adapter provided.
Once everything is connected, the alarm user simply pushes the red help button to complete a test call with the monitoring centre. They'll check that everything is working correctly, and that they have all of the user's information.
The base unit allows crisp and clear communication between monitoring centre and alarm user, thanks to a loudspeaker and built-in microphone system. The loudspeaker is so loud that it can be heard in the next room. Don't worry, if the monitoring team doesn't hear a response they'll automatically send help to the users's home.
The Pendant Button
Alongside the base unit, our alarm users also receive the pendant button. This little button can be worn multiple ways; around the wrist like a watch, around the neck like a necklace, or around the waist as a belt clip.
The pendant is full of modern Telecare technology to ensure that the user receives the highest-quality service. It's waterproof function means that the user will be able to raise an alarm if they slip getting in or out of the bath/shower.
The range of up to 100 metres means that the alarm user can call for help if the trip or fall outside in their garden. A seven-year battery means that the alarm user doesn't need to worry about charging their device. A free replacement will be sent once it begins to run low.
In an emergency, the alarm user simply presses the red button on their pendant. This alerts the monitoring centre, who will respond immediately. The situation is assessed, and the alarm user reassured whilst help is found via family, friends and the emergency services.
Annie, Sunderland
I felt so much better coming out of hospital to a Telecare button. I'd had my knee replaced and was vulnerable to falls. It made me feel safer.
Dan, Cardiff
We've found that the alarm hasn't just benefited Mum's life but ours as well. We worry less knowing she can let people know if there's a problem.
Robert, Nottingham
The alarm has made a huge difference to Mum’s confidence and it definitely brings me a lot of comfort.
Dr. Spratt, Worcestershire
For patients at high risk of falls, living independently at home can be a real struggle. Telecare alarms help give them that extra confidence by making sure help is always readily available.
Pricing Plans
Telecare Choice offer two simple price plans to ensure that you can get your personal alarm up and running as soon as possible.
Of course, both of our price plans come with free 24-hour delivery so that you can have your new alarm and pendant installed sooner, rather than later.
Once installed the alarm user will be covered by our 24-hour Monitoring Team. Should they need help, day or night, all they need to do is simply push the Telecare pendant and a member of the team will respond within seconds.
The Monitoring Team will then take appropriate action to ensure the user gets help - whether this is contacting a relative or the emergency services. Ensure help can gain access to the property with a Keysafe.
Protecting Elderly People Across the UK
The elderly and disabled often need special measures to manage the risks associated with living alone.
This can lead to people moving into a home or residential care. We believe that this doesn't need to happen. Our Telecare Alarms assist the elderly and help them to remain safe in the comfort of their own home.
A Telecare Alarm service provides elderly people who live alone with somebody to call for help if they suffer a fall, feel unwell or need some reassurance. Simplicity is at the heart of the Telecare Alarm and our 24-hour service allows elderly people across the UK to remain confident in the comfort of their own home.
Remain independent and join the Telecare Choice community today to ensure that help is always available.
